Your Comprehensive Diagnostic Consultation (Full Consultation)Your Comprehensive Diagnostic Consultation is an in depth consultation with your practitioner. You will be given the time to discuss your particular problem in detail, and the impact it has on your life. You will also be asked some questions about your general health, history of past illnesses and familial tendencies. Traditional diagnostic methods will be used too, this includes looking at your tongue, and taking your pulses on both wrists.
All of the information taken in the Comprehensive Diagnostic Consultation provides a complete picture of you and your current complaint, enabling an accurate diagnosis, and the formulation comprehensive, holistic and precise treatment plan. We find this leads to the best outcomes, in the shortest amount of time. At the end of your Comprehensive Diagnostic Consultation appointment your practitioner will discuss the treatment options with you, including treatment frequency and duration.
Your TreatmentWe begin treatments with a short diagnostic consultation, we will look at your tongue and feel your pulses and you will be asked to position yourself on the treatment couch ready for your acupuncture. It is advisable to wear loose fitting clothing so the points are accessible.
Our practitioners will always explain where they are going to put the needles, which are typically retained for 20-30 minutes, and may be manipulated during that time.
Additional Therapies used in Traditional Chinese Medicine are included in your treatment if deemed appropriate, at no extra cost, in order to provide you with a comprehensive holistic treatment tailored to your needs.
