Emma Kemp

Emma Kemp BSc (Hons) MBAcC

Emma is the owner of The Acupuncture Lounge. She is very passionate about the benefits of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and gets great satisfaction from enhancing the quality of life and well-being of the people that come to see her for treatment; aiming to help them thrive and not just survive. Emma has a background in Conventional Healthcare, and combines her skills and experience to get the best results for you. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, and is a member of The British Acupuncture Council. She adheres to strict standards of professional conduct, and health and safety at all times, is fully insured, and is licensed by Wyre Borough Council.

Rebeka Coverdale Dip. MAcuC

Rebeka is one of the Acupuncturists here at The Acupuncture Lounge. She has always had a keen interest in health and the body, and has been working in health and wellbeing since 2012. Her training includes a number of Therapies including massage - Sports, Indonesian, Thai and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Rebeka decided to study Traditional Chinese Medicine when she found Western Medicine no longer had the answer to her own health issues. From day one of training she was blown away by Traditional Chinese Medicine, not only by the amazing results of the treatments, but the way it helped her to understand why she was experiencing poor health. Rebeka holds a Distinction from the Body Harmonics Centre, Cheltenham, and is a member of the Acupuncture-Acutherapy Council, she follows the strict professional codes of conduct and safe practice guide lines set. She enjoys treating all conditions, whether that's reducing pain or improving health and general well-being.


Kathryn Corrigan BSc (Hons) MBAcC

Kathryn is one of the Acupuncturists here at The acupuncture Lounge. After experiencing the benefits of Acupuncture for cluster migraines, Kathryn decided she wanted to understand more about this ancient skill. She embarked on five years of training at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York and graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture. Her research focus was the use of Acupuncture for the side effects of cancer treatment. Kathryn is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the UK's largest regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture. As a member of the BAcC you are assured of adherence to strict standards of professional conduct, safe practice and continual professional development. Kathryn has completed additional training in Auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture) and is an NLP Practitioner. Her mission is to provide safe, quality, acupuncture care; providing relief; promoting health & preserving balance.


Lorna Brownrigg

Lorna is our receptionist and clinic administrator here at The Acupuncture Lounge. She deals with all enquiries that new and existing patients may have, including scheduling appointments. She also provides administrative support to the acupuncturists and ensures the smooth running of the clinic. Lorna was a patient here at the clinic so know's first hand how it feels to be going thorough the process of becoming a patient and talking responsibility of your health, happiness and pain. She looks forward to meeting you and assisting with the help you receive at The Acupuncture Lounge.
