20th March 2020 Update.
TEMPORARY CLINIC CLOSURE
In the interest of the health and well-being of my patients, myself, our families and our community here in Garstang, I have made the decision to close the clinic as of Thursday 19th of March until further notice
It wasn't an easy decision as I know I am able to provide so much help right now, especially for stress relief and immunity boosting, however it does come with the price of non-essential contact, and the increased risk to patients due to the amount of patients I am having non-essential contact with. I would feel at peace and feel I was doing my best for my patients and the public if you and I were able to follow the advice here without the clinic being an extra trip people need to make, and an extra thing to think about.
There are ways I can help people to be Happy, Healthy & Pain Free and keep stress levels low and immune systems strong with regard to COVID-19, that don't involve you coming into clinic and seeing me face to face, I will begin working on those as soon as I can and will be in touch about them.
I am so sorry for any inconvenience closing the clinic will cause to our patients and to those who hoped to become new patients recently or in the not too distant future. I will be back up and running as soon as I can and will keep you posted as things change. I read this quote recently from another fellow small business owner and thought it summed up how I feel with regard to the clinic and you - my lovely patients perfectly;
"Everything we do before a pandemic seems like an over reaction. After a pandemic, everything we did before it seems inadequate"
The whole basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine is prevention and me attempting to play a part in helping to flatten the curve (albeit a very small one means a lot to me - I truly believe little things make a big difference especially when we all pull together. I want to play my part in keeping you, your families and our community safe, well and as protected as possible from COVID-19 and the devastating effects it will have on some families.
The next few months won't be easy, but we will get through it and I'm here to support you in any way I can. Sending strength, health and wellness!
Take care, stay safe, be kind and wash your hands lots! We're all in this together and need to look out for each other,

16th March 2020 Update
Checking Government Advice: Daily
Changes to services: Potential new patients see below. Current patients see below.
Further Updates: I will be monitoring the situation daily, keeping up with the advice from The World Health Organisation, Public Health England and The Government. Your health, safety and well-being as well as my own and both our families is paramount and we will keep you informed of our plan and strategy every step of the way.
Changes to services:
New Patients: Here at the clinic we pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive treatment plans that provide treatments to patients as frequently and consistently as necessary. The current level of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 virus means we have decided not to take on new patients. If you would like to become a patient in the future please add your name to our waiting list here
Current patients: Given the current guidance from the government and our dedication to helping our patients the clinic will be open to our existing patients but will have the following restrictions in place.
Please cancel your appointment/s for the time being if:
You or anybody in your household has any symptoms of coronavirus. These include but are not limited to a recent onset of a new continuous cough and/or high temperature. If you have these symptoms, however mild, you and your entire family should stay at home for 14 days. Please see Government advice here
As a precaution and for your protection we would like you to please cancel your appointments and stop coming to the clinic for the time being if:
You are over the age of 70
You are pregnant
You have the following health conditions - Heart disease, Lung disease, Diabetes, High blood pressure, Cancer.
If you fall into one or more of the categories and feel you cannot go without treatment, especially if you need it to feel calm and less stressed regarding the current situation please do get in touch.
Sickness: Please only come to the clinic if you feel well and the people around you are well. If you or anyone around you have any symptoms that prevent you from feeling healthy and well even if you don't feel they are symptoms of coronavirus please cancel your appointment.
Clinic Hygiene & Safety:
At the clinic we adhere to very strict hygiene standards, however we will be taking extra precautions to prevent the spread of Co-Vid 19.
I will provide hand sanitiser and tissues in reception for your use and a bin with a lid for safe disposal. You will be required to wash your hands before and after treatment in the bathroom. There will be a sign on the door and in reception as a reminder.
I will take your temperature before treatment. If your temperature is over 38 degrees you will not be able to have treatment.
Patients will be required to get on the treatment couch straight away and your follow up consultation will take place there.
Your wrists will be cleaned before pulses are taken.
I will not be using acupuncture points on the face.
Please wear loose clothing so we do not need to use towels during treatment or alternatively bring your own towel with you which you can take home and wash afterwards.
Treatment couches, surfaces, door handles and other areas that are touched by patients and practitioners will be cleaned between treatments.
The clinic will be fully cleaned at the end of each clinic day.
